Citizen Science Introduction In-Person
This course is an introduction for anyone interested in learning more about the what, how, and why of citizen science across humanities, social, and natural sciences.
Citizen science methods focus on the active involvement of the general public in research projects; where citizens contribute with competences and activities, which contrasts methods where citizens (purely) function as study objects/subjects. Using a citizen science method as part of a research project can increase resources and possibilities as well as create value for citizens, society, research and researchers.
